About Us
Four decades on the Cape, one dining room on Airport Road, and a kitchen that still cooks everything the way it did on the first night.
A small eatery on Route 28
Barbyann's opened in 1981 as a small, friendly eatery on Route 28 near the airport. There was no grand plan behind it. There was a kitchen, a short menu, and a handful of people who wanted to cook the food they liked to eat and treat everyone who walked in like a regular.
Seven years later we moved into the building on Airport Road where you find us today. The dining room got bigger and the menu grew with it, but the quality, the value and the service stayed exactly where they were. You, the customer, are the reason we have been here this long.
Cape Cod natives and visitors alike have been enjoying our great local seafood, American fare and daily specials at Barbyann's since 1981.
What we are known for
Award winning clam chowder
Rich, creamy and genuinely full of clams. It has won its share of ribbons on the Cape and it is still made the same way every morning.
Best babyback ribs
Bubba's ribs are basted in our own smoky sweet BBQ sauce and charbroiled to order. Half rack to start, full rack if you mean it.
Biggest and juiciest burgers
Voted the biggest and juiciest on the Cape. Eight different builds, or tell us what you want on yours and we will make it.
Local seafood
Native 1 1/4 lb. lobsters, Chatham sea scallops, fresh native cod and a raw bar. Market items are quoted daily because they land daily.
The kitchen and the room
The menu is a mixture of the best seafood Cape Cod has to offer, classic American favourites, and a pinch of Southwestern flare. Lunch brings homemade soups, a raw bar, specialty salads and daily specials. Dinner leans on the grill and the broiler. There is a full bar, and the dining room is business casual, which on the Cape means come as you are.
We cater, we do takeout, and we host parties. If you are planning something, be our guest and we will do the rest.
